Gaby Poblet is an Anthropologist specialized in International Migrations and Public Policies. She holds a PhD in social anthropology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and she is a professor and researcher at the Universidad de Valladolid (Spain). She is the author of the book Criadas de la globalización, servicio del hogar, género y migraciones contemporáneas (Icaria Editorial, 2024) about migrant women domestic workers in Spain. Her current research focuses on forced migration from Central American and chronic violence and she has also worked in several projects in the field of Latino migrations to Spain, migrant domestic workers and gender, family life rights, social integration, inequalities, and citizenship. Her teaching includes Economical Anthropology, Applied Anthropology to public policy, globalization, and Etnography and Qualitative research methodology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.She has also worked as a consultant in several studies and reports for local governments and NGO's and international organisms such as ACNUR, Unicef, Save the Children, SETEM and European Comission.
