Race and ethnicity are concepts that often interlink and may be approached differently from different disciplinary traditions. The term race is often used to define people according phenotypical features generally thought of as distinct. Racial categories are socially-constructed and are not limited to phenotypical differences. Ethnicity is usually defined in terms of the intersection of religion, language, and phenotype. Members of ethnic groups may also be identified in terms of racial attributes, but may also share other cultural characteristics.
This topic aims to bring together studies where race and ethnicity is in focus, particularly in relation to migration.
