Sabrina Paula Vecchioni. Attorney at law (University of Buenos Aires), Master in Gender, Society and Politics (FLACSO-PRIGEPP) and PhD candidate in Social Sciences (University of Buenos Aires -Faculty of Social Sciences).
Author of the book “Women seeking refuge. Reflections and challenges in the application of the gender approach in the asylum procedure in Argentina” by Prometeo publishing house (2022), where, based on a decolonial feminist approach, she analyzes the legal standards and gender perspective applicable to asylum procedures with a focus on the case of Argentina. She has also written more than 30 articles, essays and presentations on decolonial feminisms, human mobility and armed conflicts. Moreover, she participated as an anonymous evaluator of articles for the Migraciones Journal of the University Institute of Migration Studies, Spain.
Professor of International Humanitarian Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (since 2014), Tutor in seminars of the Master's and Diploma in Gender, Society and Politics (FLACSO-PRIGEPP, since 2022), Tutor of the "Training in gender perspective" of the Judicial School of the Council of the Magistracy of the Judicial Branch of the Nation -Argentina- (since 2020); among other teaching positions in National Universities and Postgraduate Institutes.
Between 2012 and 2018, she has worked as a defence attorney for migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and stateless persons at the Commission of Assistance and Protection of Refugees and Asylum Seekers of the Public Defender’s Office -Argentina-. Between 2019 and 2024 she has worked as Court Clerk at the General Coordination Secretariat of the Public Defender’s Office -Argentina-.
In 2025, she creates Aprendizajes Migrantes a project for digital training and dissemination on issues of human mobility, gender and armed conflict.
