Rebekka Mirjam Hölzle has been involved in migrants rights activism in the UK, France, Greece, and Spain and has worked in community-organising, campaigning and advocacy alongside migrant communities in London. Her work focuses on the intersections of migration, poverty, and racism, i.a. migrants’ exclusion from national welfare systems. Her PhD in psychosocial studies at Birkbeck University of London engages participatory and creative methodologies to explore how migrant women in London negotiate and resist the UK’s hostile environment’s policies in the every-day, using a critical feminist and decolonial framework.
