Dr. Raphaela Schweiger is a Director at the Robert Bosch Stiftung, one of Europe’s largest philanthropic foundations, and a 2023 Yale World Fellow. She leads the foundation’s migration program and its portfolio on international cooperation. Her expertise spans global and European migration governance, refugee and migrant protection systems, integration and social cohesion, climate mobility, and the role of digital technologies in migration and governance. She also advises governments, international organizations, and civil society on multilateral processes, international cooperation, and the design of resilient, inclusive, and effective migration systems. Her work connects local, national, and global levels, bridging communities, policymakers, and international stakeholders to advance practical and forward-looking solutions. Raphaela serves on the board of the Doris Wuppermann Foundation, which supports youth-led initiatives for democracy and civic participation in Germany. She holds a doctorate (Dr. phil.) in political science from the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg and studied political science, law, and international relations at the University of Munich, Goethe University Frankfurt, the Technical University Darmstadt, and Complutense University of Madrid.
