Currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Group for Research on Ethnic Relations, Migration and Equality (GERME), at the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, I hold a Ph.D. in Gender studies and in Sociology from the Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis, France, after completing my multidisciplinary studies in Economics at the Bachelor’s level (Allameh Tabatabaei University, Tehran, Iran), in Women's studies at the Master’s level (University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran), and in Social movement studies at the Master’s level (IA, The Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities, The Hague, Netherlands). My socio-political research, generally focuses on themes such as activism and social movements, inequalities and social vulnerabilities, as well as migration, asylum and exile, using intersectional theoretical approaches and critical methodologies. My Doctoral thesis, entitled "Revolutionary Sisters: Transformative praxis of Migrant or descendants of Muslim migrants lesbian activists in France", which I defended on September 26, 2024, focuses, first on their trajectory as activists involved in several social movements (feminist, lesbian and anti-racist), then on the articulation of struggle they propose on the scene of social and political struggles, and finally, on their practices of « co-auto-emancipation » in their non-mixed and « safe spaces ». In my current postdoctoral researches, I am focused on questions such as the circulation of community knowledge among so-called « racialized » lesbians, their exile and asylum, and their presence in French and Belgian struggle spaces.
