I am a researcher, writer, and teacher working at the intersection of gender, migration, and digital sociology. My research is grounded in ethonographic methods, centering the voices of those marganizled in the metrix of gender, class, religion, and national origin. My recent project examined the ways intergation experiences of South Asian Muslim migrants are shaped by gendered, religious, and familial discourses, and how these dynamics are negotiated across digital and social spaces. Building on this, I am currently examining the ways Muslim migrant women utilize advanced digital platforms to contest and reconfigure constraints imposed by immigration regimes, racialized labour markets, and gendered expectations.
