Gimena Camarero is an Anthropologist with a PhD in Geography and an MSc in Environmental and Territorial Policies from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (Spain), where she leads the project Repopulating European left-behind areas through international roots migration (RepEU-Mig). The project examines repopulation policies in Italy and Spain aimed at attracting descendants of emigrants born in Argentina, focusing on the intersections of migration governance, belonging, demographic decline, and local integration processes.
