Dasom Lee is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, San Diego. She also earned an MA in Sociology at Yonsei University, South Korea (2016). Her research centers around migration intermediaries, race, class, gender in Asia, and qualitative research methods. Dasom's dissertation features the role of the migration industry on the incorporation of migrant workers, marriage migrants, and international students from Vietnam to South Korea. Her other projects look at the employers of migrant workers, online discourses on international marriage, and a comparative analysis of the pre-arrival labor migrant training.
