Originally from Ireland, Louise worked for many years at Middlesex University, London, where she was Co-Director of the Social Policy Research Centre, from 2016 she was Professor of Sociology at University of Sheffield. In 2020 she became Senior Professor at London Metropolitan University. Louise has a particular interest in migration, especially intra-EU mobility, and has published many highly cited articles on migrant social networks. She is currently writing a book on migration and social networks...
