I am a migration researcher and social development professional bridging academic inquiry with complex, field-level practice. My work centers on migration governance, community resilience, and inclusive development, with a commitment to participatory approaches that connect policy research to lived realities. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders to support rights-based, policy-compliant outcomes for affected communities. I currently work as a Project Assistant with OMDH on a project supported by UNHCR, where my main tasks involve assisting asylum seekers in obtaining their refugee documents and, eventually, requesting and securing their refugee BRA cards from the Bureau des Réfugiés et Apatrides (BRA), as well as residency cards. My master’s research explored the challenges and opportunities faced by children of sub-Saharan Africans in the Moroccan educational system. While my current PhD research examines the stigma refugees face and the courtesy stigma encountered by NGOs and their staff, the challenges that give rise to this process, and how stigmatised groups are challenging the stigmatisers. Today, I intend to contribute to research and development initiatives that aim to strengthen evidence-informed migration policy and social change.
