Miano
Isabella Miano is a PhD researcher in Political Science at the University of Catania, specializing in the unaccompanied minors’ migration governance across the U.S. and the European Union. Her work bridges transatlantic perspectives on migration policy, with a strong emphasis on comparative analysis.
She holds a dual Master’s degree: one in Global Politics and EU-Mediterranean Relations from the University of Catania, and another in International Humanitarian Action from Université Paris-Est Créteil, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to global migration challenges as well as a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations Communication.
Isabella has a solid academic foundation in international relations and has shared her research at leading conferences, including the EISA Pan-European Conference. Her current research interests include comparative migration studies, child protection in migration contexts, and the intersection of humanitarian governance and international law.
