Liana
Wool
Liana Wool is PhD candidate at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of
Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her doctoral research focuses on the intersection of economic integration policies and migrant
opportunities in European refugee camps.
Previously, Liana has worked in several refugee-focused agencies in roles providing
resettlement services, job development, and business development supports. Additionally, she
held the position of director for a workforce development program in the United States.
Parallel to her PhD research, Liana is working with several Mediterranean NGOs to develop and
sustain vocational trainings for asylum seekers residing in refugee camps.
