My research revolves around diversity and integration beyond the nation-state. I explore the conseuquences of cross-border movements on the level of the urban (cities, neihborhoods) as well on the European level. Next to migration and mobility studies, I draw on postcolonial theory, critical race theory and whiteness studies.
