My expertise is situated in the intersections of care and education in the context of diversity, with a strong focus on gender, sexuality and the dynamics of religion and secularity. I have conducted research in East Africa, amongst others in Uganda and Kenya, and on the cultural encounters between care and educational actors and (African) migrants in The Netherlands . My research approach is qualitative, interpretative and primarily ethnographic.
