Nerea Amorós Elorduy, M.Arch, PhD. is an architect, urbanist, and researcher with extensive experience in sustainable education and health projects with an emphasis on community participation and populations affected by displacement. Prior to founding her current practice – the Kampala-based think-and-do tank Creative Assemblages (2019) – she earned a PhD (UCL 2018), taught and contributed to creating the School of Architecture at the University of Rwanda (2011-2014) and co-founded ASA Studio based in Kigali (2012-2014). Her current practice, teaching and research focus on how the architectural and urban environments affect young children’s learning, populations affected by displacement, and holistic sustainability. Her work and that of her teams has been awarded, exhibited, and published internationally.
