Currently faculty at Temple University Rome, Lorenzo Rinelli obtained his PhD in Political Science at University of Hawai’i at Manoa. His current courses concentrates on Race, Empire and Identity in Europe, whereas his research interests rest on Politics of Aesthetics, Border Theory, Citizenship studies and Migration Politics in the Mediterranean. His monograph entitled “African Migrants and Europe: Managing the ultimate frontier” has been published in 2016 by Routledge for the African Politics and International Relation Series while Interrupted Flows has been published in 2019 by Temple University Press and include text and images from his enduring archive as photographer.
