Al Massalma
Leen Al Massalma holds an MSc in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Conflict and Development Studies from Ghent University. She aims to promote refugee agency in the SWANA region and the global refugee regime through locally led research and advocacy with Syrian refugee-led organisations and other civil society organisations. Her research focuses on refugee leadership and mobilisation as well as the impact of displacement on diasporas' imagination and political engagement for the nation, the home and the future. She has worked in research, policy and advocacy roles at various NGOs and holds a BSc in Political Science from KU Leuven, Belgium.
