Al Massalma
Leen Al Massalma is an MSc candidate in Migration Studies at the University of Oxford. She works to promote refugee agency in the SWANA region and the global refugee regime through locally led research and advocacy with Syrian refugee-led organisations and other civil society organisations. Her current research focuses on the impact of displacement on diasporas' imagination and construction of the nation, the home and the future. She has worked as an Advocacy Officer at a Brussels-based NGO and holds an MSc in Conflict and Development Studies from Ghent University and a BSc in Political Science from KU Leuven, Belgium.
