Emmanuel Gabriel Ndayambaje is a passionate social entrepreneur, tech innovator, and advocate for sustainable agriculture and youth empowerment. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Afrixyz Organic Foods and the Afrixyz For SDG2 Global Youth Initiatives Platform, which aim to empower refugee and rural youth in Uganda through sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, and technology. Born in Burundi, Emmanuel fled his country during political unrest, living as a refugee in Uganda and Rwanda after the tragic loss of his father, Brig. Gen. Jean Mari Ndayambaje Kara. These early experiences fueled his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by refugees and displaced communities. Through Afrixyz, Emmanuel has trained hundreds of refugee and rural youth, organized annual summits, and facilitated international conferences to promote sustainable farming and market access. As a mentor for Stanford Entrepreneurship Program and Yale Leadership, he guides young entrepreneurs in developing innovative solutions. He has spoken at global conferences, including the Ireland International Conference on Education (IICE-2024) and the Decent Jobs for Youth Conference, and will participate in the Africa Universities Summit 2025. Emmanuel is also a recipient of the Watson Institute Fellowship and a candidate for the Western Union Foundation Fellowship 2025. With a vision to create transparent and equitable food systems, Emmanuel combines innovation and collaboration to tackle hunger, unemployment, and inequality, inspiring positive change across Africa and beyond.
