Mojca Medvešek, PhD, Senior Scientific Associate at the Institute for Ethnic Studies (IES) started higher education at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Science (FSS), Slovenia, where she completed her studies in Sociology - Social informatics in 1995; Title of graduation work: »Analysis of the international structure and flow of the television program«. Master degree: University of Ljubljana, FSS, where she finished postgraduate studies with an individual program, based on ethnic studies and methodology of social science research. She obtained her master's degree in 2000 with the master's assignment: »Analysis of the vitality of ethnic communities in the border regions of Slovenia with Hungary«, for which she received the award for the best master’s assignment of the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2000. Doctorate: University of Ljubljana, FSS, P h D in Sociology in 2003; thesis title: »Trends of Intergeneration Ethnic Continuity with the Population of Ethnically Mixed Territory along the Slovene Border« Scientific titles and employment Since 1995 she has been employed at the IES in Ljubljana: 1995–2004 Junior researcher, 2004–2006 Assistant with Doctorate, 2006–2012 Scientific Associate, 2012– present Senior Scientific Associate.
