Marco Sassoon is a medical anthropologist, psychologist, doctoral researcher at the University of Cologne and ELES research fellow. His research investigates the effects of repressive border enforcement on collective psychosocial health in Senegal, focusing on the embodiment of structural inequalities, the production of biopolitical knowledge and the resilience strategies of marginalized actors. He is also a therapist and activist in Sportello TiAscolto, a critically-inspired healthcare service based in Italy.
