Lisa Motzig is a PhD researcher conducting her research at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles in the Centre de Recherche en Science Politique (CReSPo). Her work focuses on the mobilisations of undocumented women in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. She is particularly interested in the mobilisation process and how individuals deprived of political rights can become political subjects, asserting their belonging to a political community. Lisa holds a master’s degree in political science and international relations from Sciences Po Bordeaux (France). She also studied at the University of Sussex (United Kingdom) and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (United States). Before starting her PhD, Lisa worked for several years in civil society organisations, think tanks, and European institutions, with a focus on migration and gender issues.
