José Ignacio Carrasco is a Lecturer in Sociology at the Department of Sociology, University of Oxford. His research is situated at the intersection of sociology, social development, and migration studies, drawing on a life course approach and employing a wide range of quantitative and computational methods. Ignacio has a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). He holds a Master of Science in Demography from Stockholm University, a Master in Migration Management from UPF, and a degree in Sociology from the University of Chile. He is an affiliate at the Max Planck Institute of Demographic Research (MPIDR) Laboratory of Population Dynamics and Sustainable Well-Being and COMPAS.
