Hicham Jamid, who holds a PhD in sociology from the Conservatoire national des Arts et Métiers (Cnam/Paris; LISE-CNRS, UMR 3320), joined the Laboratory for the Study of Social Processes (LAPS) at the University of Neuchâtel in September 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher. His research focuses on student mobility, the migration of highly skilled workers, and the processes of liberalization and globalization of higher education in Africa, with a particular interest in Senegal and Morocco. As part of his postdoctoral fellowship at the LAPS, he is developing an individual research project and collaborating with Janine Dahinden and Christin Achermann at the Maison d'analyse des processus sociaux (MAPS) and La Fabrique de demain initiative.
