Dr Urszula Markowska-Manista is a field researcher. She self-identifies as a researcher of childhoods and education in sensitive, culturally diverse environments, conducting fieldwork in a variety of contexts (the Horn of Africa, Central Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, and the South Caucasus). Her work draws on inclusive and participatory approaches in social research, decolonial methodologies, interclusion, ethical issues and genocide studies.
