Panchenko

Tetyana Panchenko is a Ukrainian social and political scientist focusing on transformative experiences of Ukrainian refugees in Germany. She is a a professor at Karazin Kharkiv National University and has been involved in research projects at various German academic institutions. As a Researcher at the ifo Center for International Institutional Comparison and Migration Research (Munich, 2022–2024), she conducted a mixed-methods study on the integration strategies of Ukrainian refugees. This research evolved into a longitudinal study during her KIU Fellowship at European University Viadrina (2024–2025) and DU Fellowship at the University of Regensburg (2025), where she explored refugees' integration, transnational practices, and their potential contributions to Ukraine’s recovery. Tetyana’s expertise includes qualitative and mixed methods in migration studies. She holds a PhD and habilitation in political science and has participated in academic programs at Central European University, Humboldt University Berlin, and the University of Fribourg
