Goginava
Lela Goginava - is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Management and Policy and additionally, she holds the position of Director of the Center for Migration and Diaspora Studies (CMDS) at the Grigol Robakidze University of Georgia. She has obtained MA degrees in Peace Studies, Philosophy, and Journalism. Currently, Lela Goginava is pursuing her PhD as a student in the Joint Program on Educational Sciences between East European University and Middlesex University (London), with a research focus on identity and heritage language studies in Georgian diaspora communities. She serves as a Co-leader of WG3 of the COST network WEMov (CA19112), an MC member of COST Action TraFaDy (CA 21143), and a member of WG3 and WG5 of COST Action HIDDEN (CA21120). Before her academic career, Lela Goginava served as a Career Diplomat for 21 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia (1996 - 2017). Additionally, she held the position of Deputy to the Permanent Representation of Georgia to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, from 2007 to 2010.
