Ahmad Walid Barlas is from Afghanistan. He received his master's degree in economic and management from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Currently, he is employed as a lecturer and head of BBA department at Samangan Higher Education Institute, Afghanistan. His research interest area is migration, remittances and economic development. Mr. Barlas has conducted a number of research projects on migration studies.
