Piego
Early childhood educator and researcher in Childhood Studies. I hold a Master’s degree and am a Ph.D. candidate in Education at the University of São Paulo (FEUSP), where I investigate children's participation and agency within Latin American and Caribbean migration flows. My research seeks to challenge the concept of "second-generation migrants" and reflect on the construction of subjectivity and the in-between spaces occupied by the children of migrants. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy from Unicamp, which included a study abroad program at the Universidad de Alicante (Spain), and I am a member of the research group "Practices and Policies of Difference: Social Studies of Children and Childhood" at FEUSP.
I'm a public school early childhood teacher in Vinhedo (SP - Brasil) since 2020 and Public Policy Specialist at the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) since 2025, focusing on data governance for federal basic education programs. My work bridges pedagogical practice, academic research, and public policy—integrating visual arts and literature—in dedicated defense of high-quality public education, human rights, and social justice.
