Stefan Manser‑Egli is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam. His book 'Illiberal Integrationism: The Myth of Shared Values' will be published in November 2026 with Bloomsbury. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Neuchâtel and is currently working on a three-year research project on sovereign citizens, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and hosted by the University of Fribourg, the University of Amsterdam, and the University of Basel (2024–2027). His main scholarly interests lie in critical migration and integration research, nativism, sovereignty, citizenship, and liberal democracy. He is a coordinator of the IMISCOE Standing Committee Reflexivities in Migration Studies.
