Pallavi Nadimpalli is an independent researcher and urban planner, based in India. She is broadly interested in applying an interdisciplinary and intersectional approach to analysing urban issues, for co-creating a sustainable and inclusive future. Her research areas include climate change and migration nexus, migrant belonging, time-space mapping, public spaces, gendered mobilities and everyday spatial appropriation. Since 2009, she has worked in diverse capacities across India, Australia, and the United States, building expertise in research design and implementation, qualitative research, urban planning, stakeholder coordination and community engagement. She holds a PhD in urban analysis and development from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with prior training in Architecture from India.
