Juan Francisco Alvarado is a researcher at the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam in the topic of entrepreneurial failure and recovery. His PhD research was carried out at the universities of Milan and Brescia in Italy and University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. His project investigated the role of innovation and social networks as a characteristics of migrant entrepreneurs. Inside the IMISCOE PhD Network, he served as the PhD Representative for the period 2015-2016
