Gustav Lidén (PhD in Political Science, 2011) has his background in comparative politics with a specific interest in the local political arena. During 2012 and 2013 he was post doctoral fellow at the Department of Social Sciences at Mid Sweden University. Since 2014 Lidén is Associate Professor (docent) in political science at Mid Sweden University. He has been a visting scholar at Åbo Akademi University (2012) and at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2021). His work has been published in journals such as Democratization, Journal of Refugee Studies, Local Government Studies and Policy Studies His most recent research contribution is a monography titled Local Migration Policy - Governance Structures and Policy Output in Swedish Municipalities (Palgrave MacMillan, 2021). Lidén's research focus is directed towards the local political arena and is placed within these fields: • Local migration and integration policy. • Local governance and policy.
