Debora Mantovani is associate professor of Sociology at the Department of Political and Social Science of the University of Bologna. Her main research interests include the sociology of migration and education. Her works are primarily focused on children of immigrants and, in particular, the following topics: school integration, educational achievement and attainment, national identity, employment aspirations and expectations, social class inequalities, and the operationalization of the concept of “foreigner”.
