Paola Cardinali is Full Professor of Social Psychology at Universitas Mercatorum, Rome, and holds a PhD in Migration and Intercultural Processes from the University of Genoa. She is also a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist. Her research focuses on migration and acculturation, psychological home and place attachment, community resilience, social inclusion, and psychosocial well-being. Her recent studies examine how host communities, social support, and community resources shape migrants’ and refugees’ experiences, well-being, and integration, with particular attention to Ukrainian forced migration. She employs qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, and evidence-synthesis approaches. She serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Intercultural Relations and as Associate Editor in Health Psychology at Frontiers in Psychology. She is Guest Editor of the Behavioral Sciences Special Issue “Community Resilience and Migrant Well-Being” and previously guest-edited “Psychological Home, Transitions and Well-Being” for the same journal.
