Wanyana's Migration research has analysed the complex relationship between migration and corruption, highlighting how corruption intersects with other factors such as race, religion, and economic status to shape the differential experiences of migrant women and men. She has also studied the limitations in European and International migration legal regimes in providing robust and non-discriminatory protections for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
