Dr. Federico Besserer is a full profesor at the Department of Anthropology of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. He received his doctoral degree in anthropology from Stanford University, and a masters degree from the Univesity of California at Riverside. His current research “Urban convergences: Transnational city / Global city” explores how the margins of the cities connect in a system of planetary dimensions, and how this transnational urban system articulates with the sytem of global cities.
