Ijeoma Stephanie Ladele is the Founder, Environmental Conflict Mediation and Women Development Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization based in Ibadan, Nigeria. She is a certified trainer, a chartered Mediator , a certified health, safety and environmental Consultant at SILE Consultancy services, previously she worked as Programme/ Field Officer with Human Advancement and Community Helpers League in Africa(HACHPLE AFRICA) under the European Union -micro Project Programme in six states of Niger Delta(EU-MPP6) from 2005-2008, She has served as research assistant on Building Nigerian’s Response to Climate Change in South East, Improved Reproductive health survey, National HIV/AIDS and Reproductive survey, Orphans and Vulnerable Children situation Analysis by Nigerian Environmental Study Team, Society for Family Health and USAID in South East , Nigeria respectively. Ijeoma is a member of the following networks, Women Mediators across Common wealth Countries(WMC) Network of African Women in Conflict Prevention and Mediation (FemWise-Africa, Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Society for Peace Studies and practice (SPSP), Institute for Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria(ICMC), West African Network on Peacebuilding (WANEP) , Civil Society Coalition for Sustainable Development (CSCSD), Global Network of civil society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) and 100 Women Lobby, Unique Mappers Network, Nigeria etc. She holds Bsc. in Environmental Resource Management, Post graduate diploma in Peace and Conflict Resolution (NOUN) Masters in Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is an environmental activist, peace building and climate change advocate, with experience working on strengthening stakeholder’s engagement in community development projects and mediation using indigenous approach to resolving resource based conflict, gender-sensitive approaches to climate change, migration and peace building. She has mediated sessions on community development conflict and land disputes, facilitated dialogue sessions on women role in peace and development in southeast and southwest, Nigeria. She has published works on environmental peace building and sustainability, mainstreaming peace building approach for sustainable development etc.
