I hold a PhD in Politics and International Relations at the University of Aberdeen and am a qualified solicitor in Ecuador. My research bridges the fields of refugee studies, security studies and Latin American mobility. My work explores security approaches to refugee movements in South America with theoretical focus on (de)securitisation and (in)visibility.
