Dr Kristine Aquino is a sociologist and urban ethnographer. Her research is broadly concerned with global Filipino migration, race and racism in everyday life, diversity in Australian and Asian cities, and migrant practices of transnationalism. Her first book 'Racism and Resistance among the Filipino Diaspora' (2018) explores Filipino migration to Australia and grounds larger questions about race, citizenship, nationhood and anti-racism in lived experiences.Kristine's current work examines the intersection...
