He is based at the University of Messina (Department of Economics), where he coordinates the Partner Unit for the project “Fragile Equilibria: Healthcare Austerity and the Quality of Ageing” (ASQI), funded under the extended partnership program AGE-IT – Ageing Well in an Ageing Society. He is involved in several national research projects, including the PRIN2022_PNRR project “Ethnic and Gender Labor Experimental Studies (EAGLES) over Discrimination”, the PRIN2022 project “Depopulation Risk: Experiences, Mobility and Subjective Well-Being” (DREAMS), and the ESCAPE project (Economic and Social Consequences of Altered Planet Environment), funded under the GRINS partnership. His research focuses on labor market discrimination (based on gender, ethnicity, attractiveness, and obesity), with a strong emphasis on the use of advanced statistical models to investigate socio-economic phenomena.
