Born in March 1988 in Kabul, Afghanistan, Mohammad Ayub Mirdad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Airlangga. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kateb University, and both his Master’s degree in International Relations and a Doctorate in Social Sciences (specializing in International Relations) from Universitas Airlangga. He currently serves as the Laboratory Coordinator and a researcher at the Center for Strategic and Global Studies (CSGS), Universitas Airlangga, and is also an editor of Jurnal Global Strategis (JGS). His research interests include international conflict and peace studies, non-traditional security, terrorism, and insurgency.
