Lisa is a global health professional committed to advancing health equity for women and children in underserved and vulnerable communities. She holds a Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery from Harvard Medical School, USA. With experience across academia, government, and non-profit sectors in Canada, the United States, and Bangladesh, Lisa has collaborated with diverse stakeholders to address various challenges impacting marginalized populations’ health. Her work focuses on the impacts of social exclusion, structural violence, and legal status on the health of immigrants, refugees, and migrant populations. By leveraging diverse partnerships and engaging directly with communities, Lisa designs and implements initiatives to enhance healthcare access and delivery for those most in need. Lisa is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy in Women's and Reproductive Health at the University of Oxford. Her DPhil focuses on the effects of maternal traumatic experiences of forced migration and violence on children’s mental health outcomes in refugee communities.
