I am a PhD student in International Relations, funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council through the Scottish Graduate School of Social Sciences, currently exploring how Scottish and Catalan expressions of nationalism shape public perceptions of immigration and belonging. My comparative case study adopts a mixed-methods design, combining quantitative analysis of public opinion with qualitative approaches, including discourse analysis of political speeches and policy documents, as well as semi-structured interviews and focus groups with members of the public. I hold a bachelor's degree in European Politics, an iPGCE in International Education, and a master's of research degree in International Relations, where I first analysed attitudes towards immigration in Scotland. My research interests are in the fields of immigration, nationalism, and public opinion.
