Dennis Schüle is a research assistant in a third-party funded project at the Chair of Public Policy and State Politics at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He conducts research on mechanisms of political underrepresentation with a critical focus on “migration background” as a measuring instrument, as well as on political communication about migration. Since 2025, he has been working on the project Social Spaces of Migration at the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM), funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth. Prior to that, he was involved in the DeZIM project Social Conflicts and Dynamics of Party Competition in Migration and Integration Policy. Dennis Schüle is a member of the NRW School of Governance and the Interdisciplinary Center for Integration and Migration Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
