I am an Assistant Professor in Education and Social Justice with the University of York. I hold a PhD in education from the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth, Germany. From a social justice and inclusion perspective, my doctoral project explored marginalised minorities and education in Ghana. My first and second degrees are in Political Science from the University of Ghana. I was a recipient of the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Research fellowship at the University of Edinburgh in 2020/2021. I worked as a subject specialist for the Global Education Monitoring Report in 2018 where I was commissioned to write a background paper for the 2019 Global Education Monitoring Report, "Migration, displacement and education: Building bridges, not walls".
