I am a doctoral researcher in sociology at UCLouvain and a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Families and Sexualities (CIRFASE). My research focuses on migration, racialisation, social inequalities, and experiences of belonging among Fulani youth in Brussels and Belgium more broadly. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, I explore how migration trajectories, race, class, family dynamics, and social institutions shape young people’s everyday experiences, identities, and future imaginaries. My work pays particular attention to the negotiation of social boundaries and the production of inclusion and exclusion in contemporary urban contexts. My broader research interests include migration studies, youth studies, urban sociology, and mixed-methods research.
