Funding a long-term comprehensive approach to integration at the local level

Comprehensive integration strategies consider integration as a two-way process, encourage civic engagement, pro-actively involve the receiving society and aim at socially mixed communities that are resilient to xenophobia. Cities are the testing ground for such a comprehensive approach and often leading in its implementation. How can decisions related to the implementation of the new Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 (especially ESF+ and ERDF) best support these efforts? What are the key elements and components of a long-term comprehensive approach that are 'fundable' from EU programmes?
