With the Migration Research Hub approaching one year of being live, we thought we would give a short but exciting update on its recent growth.
Thanks to our partnerships with Clarivate Web of Science, CrossRef and other data indexes, we have refreshed and expanded the content on the research database to reflect the state of the art in migration studies as of the beginning of 2021.
What does this mean for you as a user of the Hub? In short, there are 12,876 new items indexed in the research database, bringing the total number of items in the database up to 106,005! All of these items are automatically categorised into the taxonomy of migration studies, so you can explore the latest research in the field on any topic of your choice.
But the growth of this free resource is also down to the contribution of each expert who registers and creates a profile. There are now 705 migration experts who have signed up since the Hub was launched last year, and this number is growing every day..
With this update we would also like you to check your own profile--if you already have one--to see whether the information is all up-to-date. If you don’t have one and have expertise in any area of migration studies, please do register for free!
If you have any issues, don’t hesitate to use the ‘Ask us’ button available on every page of the Hub.
