Helena’s research interest has been in mapping inequities in health and healthcare outcomes. She has recently focused her work on ways to dismantle structural oppression by studying how intersecting forms of marginalisation affect intersectional groups. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from University College London (UCL/UK, 2019) and an MSc in Public Health from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC/Brazil, 2014).
